Rejected Arasai Character Model May 11, 2007

I tried telling the team at SOE that this should be the evil flying race, the counter to the fae.

Sure, it is a bit “Undead Elvis meets Herman Munster meets monarch butterfly,” but it could work. Just look at him, brandishing his weapons.

That sharpened telephone pole he appears to be holding is in fact The Burning Beam.

A very nice drop that showed up when Gaff, Lurk, and I were in The Mines of Meldrath. My first piece of fabled gear.
Those very mines are going to be featured in the next EverQuest expansion, The Secrets of Faydwer. How is that for lore linkage? An EverQuest II area is being… hrmm… back ported 500 years to EverQuest. And, in another case of symatry, both EQ and EQ2 will have a level cap of 80 by the end of the year. Details for Secrets of Faydwer can be found at EverQuest.com.
Anyway, I think the reaction to my proposed character model was best summed up by Scott Hartsman when he said, “Who the hell are you? How did you get in here? Somebody call security!”
Now I just look at him in flight and imagine what could have been.

(Yes, I finished the ogre bone quest. More so than the troll, this form really confused some people.)

LOL too funny :)
We should all try our hand at coming up with more “rejected” Arasai types :)
Don’t worry, I have finished up a few more of the bone quests, so I plan to beat this idea to death.
