Did you know that due to our loot mechanics ‘Ninja looting’ is not possible? If you believe a scam took place, report it as such. #cstip—

I think what we have here is divergent definitions.
While what we would consider ninja looting in EverQuest or back in TorilMUD is not possible, WoW has its own version, immortalized with its own video on YouTube.
Not the same thing, but it won’t stop people from using the term to mean something new, and simply saying that it does not exist won’t convince anybody.

Back in the day some PUGs that had the rule “everyone pass then /roll” for an item. Not sure if it was intended to allow the “leader” to hand out loot easier or if people just didn’t trust the auto-roller. But, it made “ninja looting” possible in WoW.
That rule was in place for guild groups as well: Mostly because all other loot rules were too buggy to be used. Various chests also ignored the loot rules altogether.
