An Expensive Trait To Acquire

I wrote that the LOTRO economy was not as bad as it seemed, being early in the life of the game and all.  While I still stick by that, I did get a bit of sticker shock when it came time to configure my race and class traits.

The race trait, Sylvan Shadows (which I got for completing Enmity of the Goblins), was 22s 50c.  That was about what I expected.  But the class trait, Fast Draw (which you acquire after doing your level 15 class quest) was pretty darn expensive to use.  The bard in Bree wanted 61s 25c to let me use it.

Yes, I had the cash, but I went into this transaction thinking I was getting ahead in the money department and walked away with about 10 silver in my pocket.  I had not yet done my repairs, so cash remained tight.

I am at the half way point in completing Enmity of the Goblins…have you found Sylvan Shadows a worthwhile trait?

I admit that I was operating under the “something is better than nothing” theory.

I doubt it is as good as the racial trait that my dwarf has, which gives a big boost to fate. I will have to see if it does make a big difference.
