Nintendo is running their Pokemon Black and White Tour currently, and one of the attractions is the ability to download a special Pokemon to your copy of Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, or SoulSilver, the Mythical Celebi… who I guess isn’t all that much of a myth if you can just download it.

However, the Pokemon Black & White Tour is only visiting a few cities over the next few weeks. So that Pokemon fans not near those locations won’t miss out on everything, Pokemon.com has announced that from February 21st through March 6th of this year, GameStop will be hosting the same Celebi download event that is accompanying the tour at all of their US locations.
Download Celebi – Meet Zorua
Downloading Celebi and transferring it to Pokemon Black & White will allow you to meet (and capture) the Pokemon Zorua. That Pokemon is otherwise unavailable in the game.
This is an in-store only event. You must got to a US GameStop store during the dates listed to be able to download these Pokemon.
However, since it is an in-store event, you will be able to download these Pokemon to Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold and SoulSilver.

So the offer ends at March 6, 2011…. Also Pokemon Black and White will be released on March 6, 2011… So if you buy Pokemon Black or White will will have to go to your local GameStop and download Celebi or, with Pokemon Peal, Diamond, HeartGold, SoulSilver, or Platinum… Please reply to my message before it’s to late!

Not on black and white, you do the transfer thing one way from a generation four game to bw. Then you unlock the zorua.

@Brandon – Yes, that is what they say. You need two DS units to do it. It isn’t like the migration from the GameBoy Advance cartridges that you could do with just your own DS. You need a friend or a sibling to help out.

Went to gamestop to get Celebi for my son and dude was like you have to get it from wifi and we dont have wifi in the store – WTH!

I was very excited, found out only two days ago about this event. I went after work, only to find out that gamestop had closed for the day. Fine, I tried again the next day, but then found out you must have the wi-fi set up. I have wi-fi, but appearently for the dsi, you have to buy the equipment. Sad to say, I hadn’t known as I bought my dsi recently, and after all these years of wanting Celebi, I learned that this was just a way for people to buy more gear for their dsi, giving gamestop and other contributors more money, using the Celebi giveaway as bait. So much for ignorance being bliss..

@Nyx – I don’t know what you think was going on, but a DSi… in fact the whole DS series… has WiFi capabilities built-in. There is nothing additional to buy and if you followed the directions at the web site, nothing additional to set up.
