Which surprises me, since the forums seemed to think the whole thing would be wrapped up in 72 hours. But the last required quest, The Staff of the Four, was only completed on the 14th.
Of course, the main topic on the progression server forums right now is how out of balance the Shadow Knight ability Harm Touch is at the moment. Somebody posted an example:

That is something like 32K points of damage done with a coordinated Shadow Knight Harm Touch attack.

This is how bosses go down so quickly it seems.
The SOE team is starting to sit up and take notice of the issue. Sort of.
Well, they have started herding all of the posts on the subject into a single Harm Touch thread.
We shall see what comes of this.

What’s a reasonable amount of damage for 12 people to spike a boss with in one second in EQ? I don’t have the context to interpret the “32k” number.

I can’t tell you any first hand details, never having done the encounter myself, but I gather that this is supposed to be a tough raid level encounter, Trakanon being a level 65 dragon in an expansion with a level cap of 60. A dozen shadow knights, who are probably not even level 60 yet (the person who did 3301 damage might be, so the rest probably are not) should not be able to down this encounter in a coordinated 1 second blast.
But the old school players are up in arms on the forum about this.

So I had a bit of a read of that thread. I gather that Harm Touch is balanced by having a very long cooldown, and this balance has been thrown askew by large groups of Shadow Knights using third-party software to launch a coordinated nuke the instant a boss spawns?
