With the advent of Mary Poppins Returns, it seemed inevitable that Cinema Sins and Honest Trailers would have a go at the original Mary Poppins. And, of course, they did, with the Honest Trailers version being quite a gem.
And there is, of course, the making of commentary video about putting that together.
It was a risk showing this to my wife, since Mary Poppins is one of her very favorite childhood films. (Mary Poppins never did much for me, I was more about Winnie the Pooh and The Love Bug when I was young.) But she laughed at this, so I figure it isn’t sacrilege to share it. The Cinema Sins video though, I’ll keep that to myself.
Okay, I laughed my ass off.

Hahah, I know! And I haven´t seen the real movie yet even. Have you seen Disneys real life motion picture (right term) of Winnie the Pooh yet, then? :) I look forward to watching that some day.

This movie is currently in the kids rotation. The good news is its long so keeps them occupied. The bad is that the songs REALLY grind on you after the 20th viewing.

@SynCaine – There was some sort of conspiracy when I was young to force kids to learn Disney songs. During “music time,” which was a thing when I was in grammar school, we spent time singing all sorts of songs from the Disney movie catalog. I think current Disney would sue the school district, but back then it was all chill I guess. Anyway, with so many songs, Mary Poppins figured heavily in that, so I know those songs much better than I do the movie itself.

If anyone is still on the fence: I showed it to my wife who is a huge Julie Andrews fan (and Mary Poppins not the least of her work) and she laughed to tears.
