The October 2025 EVE Online Monthly Economic Report

The October 2025 Monthly Economic Report for EVE Online has arrived, nicely landing in the first full week of the month.  That is what we like.

EVE Online nerds harder

As always, others write and comment about the MER, so if you want different views or the raw data, you can start with this list.

CCP highlights

  • There has been a significant increase in commodities faucets due to the Crimson Harvest event.
  • MPI continues to fall.

I mean… sure… that is what Crimson Harvest and the Winter Nexus do, flood the economy with commodities that can be turned in for ISK.  So you can see in the sinks and faucets chart commodities booming past bounties.

Oct 2025 – Top Sinks and Faucets

And lest you think that this is just some wormholer finally emerging into k space to sell their accumulated blue loot, the commodity breakdown shows that is not the case.

Oct 2025 – Top Commodities

Miscellaneous for the win.  You can see, on both charts, the spikes that come with each Crimson Harvest and Winter Nexus, the former being miscellaneous, the latter being Overseer’s Personal Effects… because Sansha Clause or something.  Wait, is “Sansha Clause” the reason CCP chose incursion rewards for Winter Nexus?

And, yes, the MPI continues down, even at is stays in the all time high end of things.

Oct 2025 – Economic Indices

Meanwhile, the plan to bring down to price of PLEX continues to succeed as the price point headed down closer to the 5 million ISK mark.

Oct 2025 – PLEX Price Slope

The price drop has started to taper off, so it seems likely that it will hover above the 5 million mark for now, barring some big change.  There is a point to have PLEX be worth more as it does encourage people to buy it to gain ISK in game.  The problem may have been more softness in that market as much as the ISK speculators… some of whom are probably not happy now.

Destruction

On the destruction front, things were up compared to September by all measures.  September had the second lowest losses per day, behind only July, and the lowest ISK losses for 2025, both by total and by ISK losses per day.  October turned that around and established itself… as merely in the bottom half of months so far this year.  Still, at least that is pointed in the right direction.

The question is, as always, where did this destruction occur?  So it is time to break out the region and system tables.

Region Sum of ISK lost % of Oct Region  Count  % of Oct
Metropolis 4.04 trillion 8.38% Metropolis           35,198 7.64%
Pochven 2.89 trillion 5.99% Pochven           29,464 6.40%
The Forge 2.57 trillion 5.33% Etherium Reach           23,591 5.12%
Vale of the Silent 1.70 trillion 3.53% Placid           20,384 4.43%
Etherium Reach 1.69 trillion 3.51% Heimatar           18,979 4.12%
Querious 1.67 trillion 3.46% The Forge           17,431 3.78%
Insmother 1.59 trillion 3.30% Delve           17,093 3.71%
Heimatar 1.38 trillion 2.86% Insmother           16,797 3.65%
Sinq Laison 1.37 trillion 2.84% The Citadel           14,018 3.04%
The Citadel 1.32 trillion 2.74% Vale of the Silent           13,581 2.95%

In a bit of a surprise turn, Pochven was knocked off the top spot and replaced by Metroipolis, a region of most high sec systems, but which has a corner of the low sec faction warfare space that Amarr and Minmatar forces fight over.

When you see that it is often a sign that there has been a big battle somewhere in the region.  But when we drill down to the top ten systems for ISK and overall coutn, Metropolis doesn’t make the list.

System Region Sum of ISK Lost % of Oct System Region  Count  % of Oct
Jita The Forge 1209.71 billion 2.51% Ala Pochven           12,364 2.68%
Ahbazon Genesis 874.13 billion 1.81% Ahbazon Genesis           10,849 2.36%
GOP-GE Querious 579.10 billion 1.20% Jita The Forge             8,023 1.74%
C-J6MT Insmother 541.06 billion 1.12% C-J6MT Insmother             6,546 1.42%
T8T-RA Querious 506.52 billion 1.05% G-QTSD Etherium Reach             6,509 1.41%
Dal Heimatar 473.96 billion 0.98% Tama The Citadel             5,415 1.18%
4-HWWF Vale of the Silent 451.98 billion 0.94% Amamake Heimatar             5,181 1.12%
G-QTSD Etherium Reach 417.92 billion 0.87% Dal Heimatar             3,501 0.76%
Angymonne Pochven 417.47 billion 0.87% Heydieles Essence             3,313 0.72%
2E0P-2 UUA-F4 359.85 billion 0.75% Kaunokka Pochven             3,174 0.69%

Instead, there is Jita at the top, where we generally expect to find it, then Ahbazon, one of the usual suspect systems that almost always makes this list.  But the highest Metropolis system in the rankings was Gukarla, which was in 12th spot with 314.78 billion ISK lost, and when it came to loss count it was down at 97th place with just 826 losses.

So something expensive happened there.  There were also a number of other Metropolis systems in the top 30.  So action there was spread out.

That led me to the usual break down by day so I could plot battles on the daily losses chart to see when things happened.

Oct 2025 – Losses per Day

I was able to spot some clear battle events, but Gukarla was the only one in Metropolis that made the top of the list even by day.  It looks like faction warfare between Amarr and Minmatar was just running hot in October, burning down 4 trillion ISK in destruction.

Otherwise, outside of the noted battles, the usual cycle of weekend peaks seemed to persist, though the losses on the 19th were related to something going down, likely a structure kill, in the Ala system in Pochven, where about 5K shuttles were destroyed.  That helped propel it to the top of the loss count side of the chart above.

That wraps up October.  Looking forward, the November MER should be interesting.  Not only do we have the Catalyst expansion showing up to skew numbers, but there was also the whole fiasco with PanFam in the Drone Regions.

A Preview of November Numbers

Among other things, such as a Keepstar exploding, that whole escapade led to this 254 billion shuttle kill in The Forge.  Shuttles will be on the menu like they haven’t been since they nerfed Uitra.  But we’ll have to wait until December to see how that plays out in the numbers.
