Some Tips are Lies

Of course not all tips are helpful.

As far as I can tell, you can only join the scenario associated with the region you are currently in, and then only if you are in the appropriate level range.

So no level 12+ players in Nordland can join a scenario, because Nordenwatch does not allow it, and no level 11 or below players in Troll Country can join a scenario because Stonetroll Crossing does not allow it.  If you are the wrong level, you get a message about not being able to join the local scenario.

You also cannot join a scenario queue at all from Altdorf.

And just to top it off, you do not always end up back in the location from which you joined.  I’ve ended up back in the war camp half way across the zone from where I joined on several occasions.

Sometimes you get knocked out of the queue if you change zones, which also somewhat restricts your location in the world. Last night I hopped a flight to the Inevitable City, and wouldn’t you know, the queue window popped up for everybody else in my group but I missed it. It’d be nice if the game would check to see if you’re eligible for a queue after you’re finished zoning. I’ll /bug it tonight.

But if your in a premade group and the other members are in different racial areas, you can que up for all three scenarios and you can join the first one that pops.

We’ve been doing that a lot and it saves on waiting a lot.

They actually just announced that you can queue for any scenario in your tier from any of the parings now. Check out the Herald.

Also, I know that if you’re in an RvR area when you join the scenario, it will sometimes deposit you back at the Warcamp when you are done. It seems to depend on if you were actively fighting people at the time, though I have no proof. Every time I’ve joined from a PvE are, it has dumped me right back where I was, sometimes to die mercilessly from mobs.

I agree that there is something in The Herald about that, but I was not able to cross-queue for tier 2 scenarios this morning.

Maybe the fix has yet to go in?

And it does not seem clear if I can queue from Altdorf now. The tip indicates that I can do that from anywhere.

Anytime you are PvP flagged and crash or jump into a scenario: you’ll re-appear at the nearest war camp. This is to prevent being load killed in a PvP zone, players logging inside a PvP fortress (friendly or enemy), and other exploits or silliness.

Yeah went in just now I think

I don’t think you can Q from cities

“In response to popular demand, you’ll now be able to queue for all of the scenarios available in your current tier, across all three pairings. For instance, if you’re in Nordland, you can queue for the Nordenwatch scenario as usual. You can also queue up for Khaine’s Embrace (the Tier 1 scenario in the High Elf vs. Dark Elf pairing) and the Gates of Ekrund (the Tier 1 scenario on the Dwarf vs. Greenskin pairing), all without leaving Nordland. No travel is required at all; just click the WAR symbol on your interface as you normally would, and use the arrows at the top of the window to scroll through the different scenarios.”

Not sure if the Aldorf/IC no queue is becuase they don’t want people queuing from the cities, or because the cities are in T4 zones (so you would need to be 32+ to join)
