The Farstrider Lodge

The recently introduced achievements in World of Warcraft are like bright, shiny, irresistible candy.  I want them all, but I am interested just looking at them at times.

Of course, there are a lot there that I am probably never going to get… but then if they were all easy, they wouldn’t really be achievements.

On the other hand, there are some in there I am surprised I do not have already, especially in the exploration category.  Zones I thought I had traveled to death seem to have one or two locations off in a corner that I have missed over the years.

And then there are some locations I cannot believe I missed.  For example, The Farstrider Lodge in Loch Modan.

Yes, it is a bit out of the way, over on the southeast edge of the zone, but it seems to be a sizeable outpost, with vendors, a few trainers, and quests to be done.  There were quests that I missed!

Anyway, that finished off Loch Modan for me.

Now to go find that spot I missed in the Wetlands.

    Odd. I thought there was a Hunter quest that took you there at one time or another…

    After finally getting patched, I started looking through achievements and while Blizz seems to have caught most over the past few years, they did not get all of them. So its a trip down memory lane for me too.

    Thats ok. I still miss pre cataclysm (TBC) Azeroth.

    You would think that me, the guy with three hunters over level 40, would know the answer to that question.

    I have run across a number of out of the way locations I never quite found in my travels.

    It seems to have missed Strat and Scholo among my accomplishments. Well, I’m sure Earl won’t mind a trip back to either!

    IIRC there is no specific hunter quest that takes you to Farstrider Lodge. However, as a hunter player I can tell you there is a decent green bow as a quest reward there at the end of the quest chain. I always made it a point to do that quest as a hunter as it’s one of the first good bows you can get unless you get a lucky drop or have the cash to buy one.
